OM Production

In 1977, there appeared in Slovenia a unique hybrid between a renegade Masonic lodge, a guerrilla production house, and an audiovisual lab. Assuming the enigmatic name OM, this organization, in its exactly one decade of existence (1977-1987), brings together something over a dozen filmmakers and performance artists who together produce over 40 impressive experimental films. The focus of the films is on one of the basic elements of the production in and reflection on the medium, i.e., the act of perception; the works take the expressive possibilities of the medium deeper and further  than ever before as well as enhance the ways and effects of its reading. The identities of the individual members of the conglomerate remain shrouded in the haze of unverifiable hearsay and innuendo.

OM Produkcija

U Sloveniji se 1977. godine pojavila jedinstvena mešavina odmetničke masonske lože, gerila produkcijske kuće i audiovizuelne laboratorije. Ova organizacija pod zagonetnim imenom OM u svojoj desetogodišnjem postojanju (1977-1987), okuplja vise od desetine filmskih stvaralaca i performans umetnika koji su poizveli preko 40 impresivnih eksperimentalnih filmova. Fokus ovih filmova jeste jedan od osnovnih elemenata proizvodnje i refleksije na mediju; čin percepcije; radovi koriste izražajne mogućnosti medija dublje i dalje nego ikad pre kao što je poboljšan i način i efekti njegovog čitanja. Identitet pojednih članova konglomerata ostaje obavijen maglom nepoverljivosti, rekla-kazala kao i provokacijom.
