International Student Biennale of Art Book - [s]BUK

The manifestation of the International Student Biennale of Art Book - [s]BUK originated from the cooperation between the Student City Cultural Center and the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. The first collaboration on the subject of art book was achieved with an exhibition entitled Touch Please! at the beginning of 2016, followed by another exhibition called The Book is the fastest way to become light, at the end of the same year. The exhibition connected ten art faculties from Poland, Slovakia, Belgium, Estonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Serbia, and so in 2018 a Biennial art book, [s]BUK 1 was launched, with the aim to promote and bring closer to a wider audience, art book media that is nurtured at art faculties in Serbia and in the world.

The second International Student Biennial of Book Art [s] BUK2, was held in November 2020 at the Student City Cultural Center Gallery and the Artget Gallery of the Belgrade Cultural Center. The exhibition presented the works of students from Serbia and the region, Europe and Asia (Italy, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania, Singapore, Portugal, Spain, Colombia, Sri Lanka, etc.), 49 from the category Artist book and 23 from the Photo book category, which were selected by a vote of the expert art jury.

An integral part of the BUK Biennale is a program of workshops and lectures that include guests - artists and lecturers from abroad.
